After leaving school at 17 Michelle’s first job was working as a trainee dental nurse in a family run dental practice close to her home. Discovering her vocation in life, Michelle then went on to train and qualify at Eastmans Dental Hospital in London, as a Dental Surgery Assistant in 1986 and then as a Dental Hygienist in 1988.
With over 30 years experience working in Hertfordshire and London Michelle treats patients holistically with a kind and gentle approach. Michelle is particularly skilful with putting nervous patients at ease whilst still maintaining a high standard of care, always endeavouring to make the Hygienist appointment as pleasant as possible.
In 2015 Michelle was presented with an award from Wrigley Oral Healthcare Programme and British Society of Dental Hygiene & Therapy for designing the patient tool ‘Hooked on Oral Hygiene ‘.
Michelle enjoys traveling and incorporates this by having regularly attended national and international dental conferences and seminars, across the UK and Europe. This fuels her continual interest in her profession and enables Michelle to keep up to date with the continually changing world of dentistry.
In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, local history and dressmaking.
